Rambunctious...that is our little Jorja. On Sunday she jumped up and scratched Erik's nose pretty bad. Not too deep but enough to leave a mark. He is ok. Today when I got home from work, I let the girls go play outside. They did and wrastled. See my hubby's latest blog for wrastling. http://edgeofthegalaxy.blogspot.com Well, Arwyn had grass all over her and I was not about to let her go into the living room and get it all over the place. So, being a good mommy, I was going to brush them out in the kitchen so I could sweep up easily. Well, our rambunctious Jorja girl got me in the lip with her tooth! I knew it was bleeding and I could tell it was torn. Thankfully it was just the corner. Now most people don't know this, but I can look at surgery, I watched my niece come into this world, and I can handle blood on NCIS or CSI, but to look at my own injuries is a little difficult for me to do. So after dabbing away some blood, I went to the bathroom to have a look. Well, it was not just a scratch. It was deep. I called Erik and he rushed home. Oh, that's a funny story, I will get to it in a minute. I started to cry--partly because I was scared (it's deep people!) and because no body was home to be with me in my misery. I called Melissa (sister #3) and cried. She is good with this sort of thing. She has 2 kids, you put the two together. She couldn't come over so I wait.
Well, Erik got home. WITH A POLICE OFFICER AT THE DOOR!!! He thought I was in grave danger so he rushed home and got caught! Luckily he didn't get a ticket. So, we decided to go to the ER for safety's sake.
After only an hour I got called to the back (after Triage and a tetanus shot) I get seen by a nurse practitioner. She looks and says, "Yeah, it will need a stitch." I figured this would be the result. Hoping not, but ok if it was. The funny thing is, ERIK DID NOT GO BACK WITH ME! Some hubby! Well, she came in, numbed me up--I am a trooper with needles these days, and began to stitch away.
2 stitches later I am discharged and forever not getting my face near Jorja's again!

Random stuff
So last night I was thinking about things I wanted to blog about. It's 7:53 AM on Sunday morning and I can't remember really what I wanted to say. That is really sad. So I will tell you about our day yesterday.
I was rudely awakened by my dear puppies (who by the way, are not so dear at 5 AM when you want to sleep until AT LEAST 7). They did need to go out and they didn't make a huge mess the night before. Thank you very much! So I get them to play and finally they rest. We had to take them to the vet, yes, I had to have my babies have their first shots. The girls were troopers though! They did not cry but they don't really like the car ride. Will work on that.
We went to meet PaPa and Nanna (my mom and dad) for the first time. They were a little shy at first and Arwyn was very submissive to Cocoa (daddy's chocolate chihuahua). He only growled once at them! Daddy thought they were "pretty little girls" and so did Momma. Daddy held them and petted them, told me to take care of them and keep them healthy. He wanted to know who would be a "man's" dog. That was silly, but I could see his point. I think they are their momma's dog (that'd be me folks). They do love their dad (Erik) when he comes home. It's funny.
So then we go get Memphis and Rayne. I wanted the puppies to be around them so they can get used to children. I actually want them (Arwyn and Jorja) used to all people and things--all colors, ages, and types (I mean dogs and cats). Well, Memphis did not feel well, but he came along anyway but said he really wanted to bring Johnnie--his puppy, my babies' litter mate. Well, if Johnnie could come, so could Goldie--the other brother! Following me? I am not sure I am! :)
After we played a while and watched BookFlix (a program many schools have), we watched a little TV. Memphis fell asleep and with good reason! He has a virus of some kind and was really sick. Poor guy! Well, later that night Erik and I go to a movie. We saw He's Just Not That Into You.
Well, I will blog about that later! It was really good! It sparked a lot of conversation with Erik and I. Good movies usually do that. If it's not too good, not a lot of conversation going on, believe me. So, stay tuned to the next blog. It will give a quick recap. I won't spoil it, I promise!
